The Kids all lined up, ready to start the Easter Egg Hunt. READY, SET – GO !

Petersen Road Neighbourhood Watch (Caboolture 18)  ran the event, sponsored by Cr. Adrian Raedel. More than 250 people attended the event with approx. 150 kids running round, trying to find the hidden Easter Eggs. With thanks to Bakers Delight for donating Easter Buns (for the Mum’s & Dad’s) and Cr. Adrian Raedel for providing the Easter eggs, Fairy Floss & Snow Cones.

Some eager kids ready to “attack” the jelly.

Cr. Raedel also ran a Jelly Eating Competition, ably supervised by the Hon. Mark Ryan, MP, Minister for Police, Fire and Emergency Services and Minister for Corrective Services. It was good to see Mark take time out, to spend with the people of his own electorate. The Sausage Sizzle, drinks & Glow Sticks were handled by Petersen Road NHW, with only a minor hitch when the BBQ caught fire ! NO harm was done and it was only a little smoke !  Carol Clare, the Area Co Ordinator of Petersen Road NHW, would like to sincerely thank her helpers on the day – Secretary, Jen Hirst;  Events Co Ordinitor, Lorraine Decker;  Shane McKenzie the BBQ King, Glenda Billingham & Greg & Shirley Sneddon for help setting up.  ALL proceeds from the night, a VERY HEALTHY sum, went to Caboolture Community Action Group who support & feed the homeless in the Morayfield & Caboolture areas.
